Concierge Avant

FAQ

Questions hotel teams ask before saying yes

Straight answers on tablets, install, training, languages, data, and how empty-room billing works.

Do we need to buy your tablets?

No. Concierge Avant is software. It runs on modern Android and iOS tablets. Use devices you already have, or ask us for recommendations and optional procurement help.

How does pricing work when rooms are empty?

Empty rooms are €0. You pay roughly €0.66 per occupied room per day, with a typical cap around €20 per tablet per month. We align with occupancy — not empty inventory.

Does it integrate with our PMS?

Core flows (guest requests, staff desk, CMS content) work without a deep PMS lock-in. Where a property needs occupancy or room-status sync, we discuss the practical options during onboarding.

How long does install take?

Most properties start with a focused pilot: tablets configured, CMS content loaded, Porte ready for the desk. Timeline depends on room count and content readiness — we map it in the walkthrough.

Will staff need heavy training?

Porte is built for desk reality: incoming requests, confirm, set ETA. We run short onboarding so the team is confident on day one, then stay available for questions.

Which languages does the guest UI support?

The guest experience is multilingual. Exact language packs for your property are set in the CMS — common European guest languages are the usual starting point.

Where does guest and order data live?

Operational data needed to run requests and content is handled in our hosted stack with access limited to your property’s operators. Details for DPA and retention are covered in the privacy policy and contract pack.

Is there a long lock-in contract?

We prefer clear commercial terms that match a real rollout — not vague multi-year traps. Exact term length is confirmed before go-live.

Can we start with a few rooms?

Yes. Many hotels pilot a floor or wing, prove the desk flow, then expand. Occupancy pricing scales with what you actually run.

What if we already have printed menus and a phone-based desk?

That is the default starting point. Avant replaces the stale brochure experience; Porte replaces the sticky-note pile — without forcing a hardware rip-and-replace.
